Customary peelers are small and accordingly «only» suitable for peeling small vegetables and fruit. The blade width of the Wide Peeler measures 90 mm and is roughly twice as wide as blades of the peelers
normally on the market. The supersharp blade of stainless steel effortlessly peels squash and is excellently suited for preparing ribbons of courgettes or carrots, for cutting up cabbage finely or for slicing
cheese.

The ergonomically curved handle sits well in the hand and can be used just as well by the right- and left-handed. Durability and safety play a major role in product development at Kuhn Rikon. For this reason
every XL peeler is supplied with a blade guard to reduce the risk of injury and to prevent the blades from becoming blunt in the cutlery drawer.
