We recommend washing your cutlery/flatware in the dishwasher:
• For best shine and cleanliness, wash on a hot cycle at 65°-75°C (150°-167°F). Lower temperatures may not fully dissolve detergent, leading to residue marks. We recommend that you avoid eco mode for the best results.
• Use a quality all-in-one dishwasher tablet, like Fairy Platinum Plus (or Cascade Platinum Plus in the US).
• Ensure rinse aid and salt levels are topped up, particularly in hard water areas.
• Clean dishwasher filters and use a dishwasher cleaner periodically to maintain optimal performance.
• It is recommended that stainless steel cutlery is not washed alongside aluminium and cast iron as this can cause rust marks (especially on knives).
(Rust marks on knives do not indicate that they are rusting. The magnetic properties of stainless steel knives can attract rust particles from non-stainless-steel items in the dishwasher.)
• For any stubborn stains, use a proprietary stainless steel cream cleaner, like Bar Keepers Friend Power Cream to restore shine.
When washing your cutlery/flatware by hand:
Rinse cutlery/flatware to remove all traces of food as soon as possible after use. Wash in warm soapy water with a microfibre cloth or non abrasive brush**. Try to avoid soaking your cutlery/flatware and always dry thoroughly immediately after washing.
**Always avoid scouring with pads or abrasive cleaners as this will scratch the surface.
